By not charging late fees, this is an attempt to recover overdue library materials.
While some items are simply lost, many are still in the hands of the patrons who checked them out. With our “no questions asked” amnesty period, the library intends to make it easier for patrons to return overdue materials, such as books and DVDs.
The amnesty does not include overdue fines still on record from previously returned materials, nor does it include fines for lost and/or damaged items.
