Enjoy the performances from VMS Chinese students and participate in culturally authentic activities such as dumpling making, paper cutting, calligraphy and traditional painting, Peking Opera mask making, lantern riddle guessing, and fun Chinese games!
Frida Kahlo used material culture to construct her identity — and material culture made her an icon in return. Join Alpine Arts & Vail Public Library in making your very own Self Portraits like Frida did. Each student would bring in a photo (or we can help you print one) to use in the frame and put images around that they identify with. This event is open to Teens & Adults, make sure to RSVP to Sandy at srivera@vailgov.com or to 970-479-2331 as we have limited space.
