Baby Story time
September 8, 2020 –
From their unique perspective, perched on the lap of a beloved adult, these very young minds absorb what is going on around them and may already be learning an appreciation for books and reading. Baby story time is filled with songs, movement exercises, rhythm and rhyme. This is very interactive and age appropriate for the 0—18 month old patrons.
Preschool Story time
September 8, 2020 –
Enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, children and caregivers join Cricket at Vail Public Library, as she leads listeners in rhymes, songs, stories and more. Each story time also features an age appropriate art activity. Active participation is encouraged from everybody as children enjoy these pre-reading activities designed to be the building blocks for strong readers and students. Story Time that includes picture books that inspire dance and yoga movement activities for the 3-5 year old set. This program idea is designed to bring movement and energy to our preschool story hour.

Bilingual Story time
September 12, 2020 –
All ages storytime which uses both English and Spanish to present books, rhymes and songs. Material is presented in English while other material is presented in Spanish, allowing for a more natural transition between stories and activities and exposing children to both languages in an inviting environment.
Esta hora de cuentos es para niños y niñas desde bebitos hasta de edad escolar y para sus padres. Se presentaran libros, rimas, y canciones en inglés y en español. Difiere de un programa tradicionalmente bilingüe en que el material no va a ser traducido de un idioma al otro, sino que presentaremos algunas cosas en inglés y otras en español empapando a los niños en los dos idiomas. De esta manera ellos se sentiran cómodos usando los dos idiomas.
