Due to the library’s public health concerns, we will be hosting daily Virtual Story Time sessions through Facebook Live at 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday (Saturday is bilingual!). Join library staff members Cricket and Sandy for songs, stories and movement. All you have to do is login to Facebookand join the fun!

Vail Public Library's Gentle Yoga Class, taught by Anne Anderson, Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Registered with Yoga Alliance, Professional Ski Instructor of America at Vail, is appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. The approach includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises. Postures may be approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition so that the practice is simple to do and easy to remember.
Gentle yoga style encourages a highly individualized approach to practice with on-going encouragement to make moment-to-moment adjustments.

Story Time is Back! We are excited to invite families back to our early literacy story time. Starting July 14 and running through August, we will host Tuesday Story Time in our back yard at 11am. Stories, songs and movement activities will entertain our youngest patrons - appropriate for ages 6 and under. We'll be meeting on the lawn behind the library.
Attendance at Back Yard Story Time does require some participant responsibility:
Please don't come if you and your family are not COVID-19 symptom free
Please observe 6 feet of distancing between your family and other patrons not in your household
Please wear a mask while you are at the library
We encourage you to bring your own seating. Camp chairs, blankets from home and carpet squares are welcome.

Can you believe Harry is turning 40 this year?! Neither can we! Join us! for a magical virtual event celebrating everyone's favorite wizard! We'll play trivia, chat about the books, relive our favorite movie moments & even talk about our favorite spells!
This event is for children in grades 3 and up.

Do you have a middle school-aged child who loves to read? Invite them to join the Virtual Middle School Book Club. July's title will be "Harry Potter and The Cursed Child," based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne.
