Gentle YogaGentle Yoga – This may be the yoga class you’re looking for. Here we cultivate compassion for ourselves and others. Though it’s a gentle workout, the emphasis is on working in. This inward focus unites the mind, body & Spirit in an atmosphere of community and collaboration, not competition. Balance, strength and flexibility improve while experiencing deep relaxation. You’ll feel a lightness of being from this powerful and healing practice. Taught by Anne Anderson, Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Registered with Yoga Alliance, Professional Ski Instructor of America at Vail; Lionshead Adults, Reiki II Practitioner and Founder of Snowga, a yoga practice on the slopes created to calm the mind and transform the ski experience; less fear, more fun. Introduction to Country Western DanceIntroduction to Country Western Dance – As part of our Healthy Lifestyle Series, Maria Barry will teach a four week Introduction to Country Western Dance. This will include the Basics of the popular Two Step, Double Two and Cowboy Cha Cha. So pull out your cowboy boots and scoot down to Vail Public Library on Monday nights, June 5 – 26, at 5:30. Come as a single or couple.

Baby Story timeBaby Story time – From their unique perspective, perched on the lap of a beloved adult, these very young minds absorb what is going on around them and may already be learning an appreciation for books and reading. Baby story time is filled with songs, movement exercises, rhythm and rhyme. This is very interactive and age appropriate for the 0—18 month old patrons. Preschool Story TimePreschool Story Time – Enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, children and caregivers join Cricket at Vail Public Library, as she leads listeners in rhymes, songs, stories and more. Each story time also features an age appropriate art activity. Active participation is encouraged from everybody as children enjoy these pre-reading activities designed to be the building blocks for strong readers and students. Hypnosis for HealthHypnosis for Health – Learn about the use of Hypnosis for supporting Health and the Mind – Body connection presented by Stacey Horn. Stacey Horn was traditionally trained as a Social Worker and maintains her Clinical Social Work License in Colorado. She received her Masters of Science in Social Administration at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences - Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio, in 1991. She has specialized in working with addictions and substance abuse; chronic mental illness & physical illness. Stacey is also a Consulting Hypnotist who continues to address some of these same specializations. After becoming pregnant at age 44 in 2006, Stacey knew she would use Hypnosis for Birth, as well as for managing her “Advanced Age” pregnancy. She began her Hypnosis training then, and has continued her training ever since! As a Holistic Practitioner, Stacey takes every opportunity to teach people about the use of Hypnosis for supporting Health and the Mind – Body connection. This presentation will explain what Hypnosis is, and is not, and how Hypnosis helps ordinary everyday people with ordinary everyday problems!

Common Cents for Colorado Seminar #2 - Key Investment ConceptsCommon Cents for Colorado Seminar #2 - Key Investment Concepts – If you’ve saved some money (even a little) and want to invest for the future, you need to understand KEY FINANCIAL PRINCIPLES that form the foundation of successful investing. Participants will be introduced to eleven major (but simple) concepts and their “multiple nuisances” that should be considered (and understood) before determining an investment plan. As each concept is discussed, the application of the concept to one’s personal investment strategy will be illustrated. The seminar also includes the examination of various investment styles and growth strategies that can be applied to participants’ current situation. The seminar is designed for anyone beginning or reevaluating his/her long term investing strategy, including new and more experienced investors and modest and substantial portfolios. |
