Meant as a surprise for his wife, the house sets in motion the undoing of everyone he loves. Cyril’s son Danny and his older sister Maeve are exiled from the house where they grew up by their stepmother. The two wealthy siblings are thrown back into the poverty their parents had escaped from and find that all they have to count on is one another.

VERY YOUNG COMPOSERS

July 28, 2021

Very Young Composers, a program of Youth Power 365 in partnership with the New York Philharmonic and The Playground Ensemble, allows students of all backgrounds to create their own musical pieces from start to finish. With the help of teaching artists, students learn to compose for different instruments, write a short story, and set the story to music in a step-by-step process. The program will culminate in a public performance by professional musicians of all the student compositions.

All programs will be held in our backyard or patio. RSVP is required for most events.

Virtual Yoga

July 30, 2021

Join us for yoga from the comfort of your own home! Email:  Sandy at SRivera@vailgov.com for an invitation to the Zoom meeting.

Vail Public Library's Gentle Yoga Class, taught by Anne Anderson, Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Registered with Yoga Alliance, Professional Ski Instructor of America at Vail, is appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. The approach  includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises. Postures may be approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition so that the practice is simple to do and easy to remember.

Gentle yoga style encourages a highly individualized approach to practice with on-going encouragement to make moment-to-moment adjustments.
