Virtual Book ClubVirtual Book Club – Join Lori for a virtual book club discussion of this month's title Flight of Dreams by Ariel Lawhon. Perhaps, you will even provide light refreshments! Email: lbarnes@vailgov.com for an invitation to the Zoom meeting. Once a month this group meets in Vail Public Library's Community Room to share conversation inspired by the book of the month. Obviously we cannot meet together this month. This is an informal librarian-led hour and a half long discussion. A book discussion group for those who love literature and lively discussion. National Library Week is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and library workers and to promote library use and support. From free access to books and online resources for families to library business centers that help support entrepreneurship and retraining, libraries offer opportunity to all. The theme for National Library Week 2020 is " Find Your Place at the Library," and Olympic medalists Maia and Alex Shibutani will serve as 2020 National Library Week Honorary Chairs.
NLWD is a day for library staff, users, administrators and Friends groups to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers.
