This year’s Summer Reading theme is “A Universe of Stories”. It celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing. Using the anniversary as a jumping off point, we invite families and patrons of all ages to explore how far humankind has come since the first Moon landing. Experience a Universe of Stories through our free programs, our collection and our incentivized reading log.
Remeber to stop by VPL's service desk to pick up raffle tickets for the adults and a reading log for kids.

Sing, Shake & Shimmy All Around the Earth! We take the audience on a journey to discover the diversity of music from around the world through European Classical, Broadway, Folk and Bluegrass, Standards, and Childrens’ Music.Exciting, entertaining & educational for the whole family. Songs, dances, flags, instruments, and hand clapping/foot stomping fun. You won’t want to miss this highly interactive program with 3 generations on stage: Joy, Beth, Tristan & Reed! Joy sings and plays piano, accordion, penny whistle, percussion and native flute. Beth plays violin, viola, mandolin, guitar, ukulele and sings lead vocals. Families & Kids of All Ages will enjoy this show!
