Gentle Yoga

This may be the yoga class you’re looking for. Here we cultivate compassion for ourselves and others. Though it’s a gentle workout, the emphasis is on working in. This inward focus unites the mind, body & Spirit in an atmosphere of community and collaboration, not competition. Balance, strength and flexibility improve while experiencing deep relaxation. You’ll feel a lightness of being from this powerful and healing practice. Zumba is a high-energy group fitness class that, ware you can burn upwards of 500 calories in a one-hour session! Zumba was born out of a love of Latin music and dancing, intended to make fitness more fun and enjoyable.

Make Art in Vail (Alpine Arts)

Alpine Arts Center is excited to offer art programs in partnership with the Town of Vail for a discounted price of $20 per person!

Bring a project or start one here, all abilities and skill levels are welcome at Knit Night!  Grab one of the library’s many knitting or crochet books for inspiration, and enjoy an evening with fellow crafters.  If you need extra help our teacher, Amy Cohen, is at Alpaca in Eagle where Knit Night is offered every Tuesday.

Join the library Knit Night every 2nd and 4th Monday of the Month for conversation, encouragement, ideas, and company as you create a healthy lifestyle along with your warm and fuzzy fiber art!RSVP by 3pm is required.  Our teacher is a volunteer and we want to respect her time and schedule. 970-479-2187.

Holiday Harp Music with Margot Krimmel

Join us at the Vail Public library for traditional and winter themed compositions.
No instrument expresses seasonal favorites more beautifully than the harp. Margot will perform both traditional and winter-themed compositions. Join us! for an evening of holiday harp music with soloist, Margot Krimmel.

Margot began her music career right here in Vail, playing the harp for the guests of the Sonnenalp Hotel. She now resides in the Boulder area and teaches this unique instrument to over 25 students.

Santa's Family Fireside Party

Join Vail Public Library and Santa for our annual family holiday party, taking place in the fireside lounge. This fun-filled event is open to children of all ages who wish to visit with Santa Claus. While waiting to meet with Santa, kids are welcome to participate in making arts and crafts. Santa takes his time with each child who visits with him, so patience is of the utmost importance.

Evenings of Engagement with Eagle Valley Chamber Music Group

Vail Public Library welcomes returning musical guests, Eagle Valley Chamber Music Group. Charles Broschinsky and Emily Zeigler have been performing chamber music in the Vail Valley for over 7 years. The Chamber Music Group tries to include a slightly eccentric mix of classical, baroque, romantic, and contemporary ensemble pieces in its repertoire, while tailoring its music to please anyone. The Chamber Duo will perform seasonal classics in the fireplace lounge, so pull up a chair, open a good book, and enjoy!

Evenings of Engagement with The Dickens Carolers

Join us in celebrating the holiday season with The Dickens Carolers. Wearing Victorian costumes (many of them are made by hand by the singers themselves), this volunteer choral group performs at the Vail Public Library. In addition, a "build-your-own-cocoa" bar will be supplied by Rimini Gelato, so you can enjoy a unique mug of delicious cocoa along with the carols.

Create your lantern at a free workshop with Alpine Arts Center in the Community Room at the Vail Public Library. Allow yourself 30 minutes at this drop-in workshop to create your lantern. Last entry is at 3:00 p.m.
