Join Sandy for stories, songs in English and Spanish that will entertain our youngest patrons - appropriate for ages 6 and under.
Beginning Saturday, July 2, and running through Tuesday, July 5, the Friends of Vail Public Library will be sponsoring their annual Fourth of July Book Sale.
Join us back at the library's community room.
No grass grows under this group's feet. They're a walking, talking book club. Our Walking Book Club is a fun, social outing with social distancing. Come even if you have not read this month's title. Instead, share what you are reading with the group.
Very Young Composers, a program of YouthPower365 in partnership with the New York Philharmonic and The Playground Ensemble, allows students of all backgrounds to create their own musical pieces from start to finish, during a week-long workshop. With the help of teaching artists, students learn to compose for different instruments, write a short story, and set the story to music in a step-by-step process. The program will culminate in a public performance by professional musicians of all the student compositions. This program was brought to Vail in 2006 by its creator, Jon Deak of the New York Philharmonic. No previous music experience is necessary, the only requirement for entrance is a love of music and a willingness to engage in it.
