The approach  includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises. Postures may be approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition so that the practice is simple to do and easy to remember.

    Gentle yoga style encourages a highly individualized approach to practice with on-going encouragement to make moment-to-moment adjustments.

    Maria-Sugeidy Rivera will be your guide  to this very exciting dance party atmosphere full of Latin and international music. You'll forget you're working out with the sexy but simple moves to dance music like Cha Cha, Salsa, reggaeton, rumba and more.

    “OBOV – STEM FAMILY EVENT” Hosted by Walking Mountains Science Center

    Does your child like to build and design things? In partnership with One Book One Valley, Walking Mountains has a CHALLENGE for you – if you choose to accept it!

    Join us as you and your child BUILD your own protective egg sled together – can it survive the CRASH?! This event will challenge you and a child to put your heads together and use critical thinking, engineering creativity, and hands-on construction skills. Join us for a family-friendly, STEM-filled Saturday afternoon! During the workshop, you will construct an egg sled out of a given set of materials. This egg sled should protect the egg as it slides down a hillside with structure and comfort! After construction, we will test out our sleds outside on a hillside on campus. Will it survive the ride?!

    This program requires pre-registration and is limited to 8 families. The activity is designed to challenge the minds of 4th-8th graders and bring out the curious child in you!

    Skiing Book Club

    This is a fun, social outing, but at the same time, you are getting the mental and physical activity essential to a healthy brain. Skiing Book Club takes readers to the slopes for an active book club. The Club meets in the area of the Ski Patrol hut at the top of the Lionshead Gondola at Eagles Nest, to talk books and ski! Look for Mary and Jo!

    We will discuss February's Books 'n Bites title: “Breaking Wild” by Diane Les Becquets

    Attendees must have their own ski pass.
    The library will not be providing lift tickets.
