"There are some books that refuse to be written. They stand their ground year after year and will not be persuaded. It isn't because the book is not there and worth being written -- it is only because the right form of the story does not present itself. There is only one right form for a story and if you fail to find that form the story will not tell itself."

—Mark Twain (1835-1910) [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] American author, humorist

Volunteer @ your library

Do you have a love of books? Would you like to volunteer in a warm, friendly environment alongside some fabulous library staff? If so, volunteering your time and talents at the Town of Vail Public Library is a great way you can give back to your community and get involved in one of its prime amenities. Volunteers of all ages are needed year-round to:

  • Put returned materials back on the shelves
  • Assist with children's programming
  • Work in the Friend's Book Sale Nook
  • Straighten the collection and keep it tidy

There's something for everyone at Vail Public Library. Library volunteers are a valued asset to our community.  For more information or to volunteer, please contact Liz Willhoff by email at lwillhoff@vailgov.com or by phone at 970.479.2190.
