    What if everyone in Eagle County read the same book?

    One Book One Valley (OBOV) encourages all residents to read the same book at the same time to create a community book club. Programs and events related to the chosen book happen throughout the valley and will engage readers of all ages and interests!

    The Alpine Brass Quintet was formed 8 years ago by founding members Steve Yarberry, Gary Thornton and Lisa Siegert-Free. The group has played at a variety of Eagle County locations. Their repertoire is eclectic, including classical and show tune pieces, Christmas music, as well as jazz and blues arrangements.

    The group leader is Steve Yarberry. Three of the musicians reside in Eagle County; the bass trombone player commutes from Silverthorne, CO. and the 2nd trumpet commutes from Fairplay, CO.

    The Quintet’s concert will be performed by Connor Williams: 1st trumpet, Anne Erdle: 2nd trumpet, Lisa Siegert-Free: French horn, Steve Yarberry: tenor trombone, and Mark Jeffrey: bass trombone. The group will showcase some of their favorite holiday pieces.

    No instrument expresses seasonal favorites more beautifully than the harp.  Join us! at Vail Public library for traditional and winter-themed compositions as Margot performs in our Community Room.

    Margot began her music career right here in Vail, playing the harp for the guests of the Sonnenalp Hotel. She now resides in the Boulder area and teaches this unique instrument to over 25 students.
