September 17, 2019(2 events) Baby Story time – From their unique perspective, perched on the lap of a beloved adult, these very young minds absorb what is going on around them and may already be learning an appreciation for books and reading. Baby story time is filled with songs, movement exercises, rhythm and rhyme. This is very interactive and age appropriate for the 0—18 month old patrons. Preschool Story Time – Enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, children and caregivers join Cricket at Vail Public Library, as she leads listeners in rhymes, songs, stories and more. Each story time also features an age appropriate art activity. Active participation is encouraged from everybody as children enjoy these pre-reading activities designed to be the building blocks for strong readers and students. September 19, 2019(3 events) Kids Create - Tissue Paper Art – We will kick off Kids Create with multi medium collage project. We’ll use tissue paper and geometric shapes. Come explore with us and make it a plan to join your friends at Vail Public Library on the third Thursday of each month for an inspired and creative project. Be part of a group that plans and participates in Kids Create! Suggested for elementary aged students K – 5th grade. It’s a great way to spend some after school time! Summer Lecture Series - The People & History of Farming – Presented by Jim Richardson, National Geographic Photographer Contributing Editor - Traveler Magazine National Geographic photographer, Jim Richardson, will present his world travels in photographs of people and their efforts to feed the planet. |

Come dressed as your favorite Superhero. We’ll have stories, crafts, games, learn the superhero pledge, some villain preventing karate moves and have the opportunity to pose heroically with our special guest Wonder Woman!
