"Meet Will Shakespeare: An Introduction and Book Club" PART II
– September 14, 2020
Ever wanted to learn more about the legendary William Shakespeare? Beginning in August, we will host a 3-part series on Shakespeare for novices as well as aficionados called "Meet Will Shakespeare: An Introduction and Book Club - The Bard Doesn't Have to be Hard!"
Jill Gordon, a longtime Shakespeare enthusiast and an online instructor at Colorado Mountain College, will be facilitating this event series. If you wish to participate, simply email her at gordongrp@comcast.net to get the Zoom Meeting info.
The second part of this series will discuss Shakespeare's "Macbeth".
Story Time is Back! We are excited to invite families back to our early literacy story time. Starting July 14 and running through August, we will host Tuesday Story Time in our back yard at 11am. Stories, songs and movement activities will entertain our youngest patrons - appropriate for ages 6 and under. We'll be meeting on the lawn behind the library.
Attendance at Back Yard Story Time does require some participant responsibility:
Please don't come if you and your family are not COVID-19 symptom free
Please observe 6 feet of distancing between your family and other patrons not in your household
Please wear a mask while you are at the library
We encourage you to bring your own seating. Camp chairs, blankets from home and carpet squares are welcome.
During these events, Erika Sánchez, author of “I am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter,” will host a virtual Book Discussion via Zoom including a Q&A session. She will also sign 100 bookplates that will be sent to us for people to place inside their own copies of the book.
