Behind the Scenes with BalletX " The Little Prince"

A favorite of Vail Dance Festival audiences, Philadelphia’s powerhouse company BalletX, led by Artistic & Executive Director Christine Cox, returns to Vail this summer to present its first full-length story ballet by a female choreographer, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s The Little Prince. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s brilliant novella has inspired millions since its publication in 1943, and now the story is the inspiration for this new ballet.

Zumba is a high-energy group fitness class that, ware you can burn upwards of 500 calories in a one-hour session! Zumba was born out of a love of Latin music and dancing, intended to make fitness more fun and enjoyable.
From their unique perspective, perched on the lap of a beloved adult, these very young minds absorb what is going on around them and may already be learning an appreciation for books and reading. Baby story time is filled with songs, movement exercises, rhythm and rhyme. This is very interactive and age appropriate for the 0—18 month old patrons.
Enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, children and caregivers join Cricket at Vail Public Library, as she leads listeners in rhymes, songs, stories and more. Each story time also features an age appropriate art activity. Active participation is encouraged from everybody as children enjoy these pre-reading activities designed to be the building blocks for strong readers and students. Vail Public Library in partnership with Betty Ford Alpine Gardens’ Summer Exhibit “The Secret Life of Roots “ will host “Women Farmers Photo Exhibit’ by world-renowned National Geographic photographer Jim Richardson. Starting June 1st– October 30th in our Community Room.
Jim Richardson is a photographer for National Geographic Magazine and a contributing editor for its sister publication, TRAVELER Magazine. Richardson has photographed more than fifty stories for National Geographic.
