Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. Banned Books Week was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in schools, bookstores and libraries. Typically held during the last week of September, it highlights the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types — in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.

Kids Create - Marble Painting

September 20, 2022

is back!

Join us! on the third Tuesday of each month through the school year for a fun and interactive arts and crafts program. Appropriate for elementary-aged kids.

MARBLE PAINTING

Marble painting for kids is an easy and fun action art activity!

It’s not painting marbles, but rather painting with marbles.

Mix play and art by using marbles to paint colorful lines on paper. When filled with marble-painted lines, your picture will look like a gorgeous abstract painting!

You don’t need to reserve your spot but it's always nice to know you are coming so we can have enough material for everyone.

For more information, please contact Erin at EStege@vailgov.com
