Mark Lemon is a product of the West. He was born in Sun Valley ID, then raised in Littleton CO. Lemon was brought up with a love of skiing, cycling, climbing and other outdoor activities. This led him to put down roots in the Eagle River Valley in 1978. He always drew and started painting as a child, but pursued art in earnest in 1990. Inspired by western themes, Mark paints plan-air and in his studio in Eagle full time for the past 12 years. His new work can be seen at the Vail public Library Dec. 1- 15th.
Nancy is a long time Vail artist & has been exhibiting her paintings at Vail Public Library each year for the past fourteen years. She seeks to express rhythm & its colors in her paintings to reflect the beauty of nature, particularly in the landscapes of Colorado. Nancy went on to major in art in college and to teach art in schools for six years. She spent another six years absorbing the British countryside, hiking in the rain and viewing works of the great English landscape artists in the galleries of London. Rondeau has spent the past 30 years enjoying the Colorado landscape as a painter, hiker, and volunteering at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens.
My art is colorful, fun, expressive, abstract! That is how I, a lifelong Eagle County resident, describes my artwork… First steps to creating my art.. I practice with a variety of mediums to mediums range from colored marker, colored pencil, watercolor, and oil pastel. My final finished pieces are always made with many layers of acrylic or oil paint, either canvas or cut wood.
