From their unique perspective, perched on the lap of a beloved adult, these very young minds absorb what is going on around them and may already be learning an appreciation for books and reading. Baby story time is filled with songs, movement exercises, rhythm and rhyme. This is very interactive and age appropriate for the 0—18 month old patrons.
Enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, children and caregivers join Cricket at Vail Public Library, as she leads listeners in rhymes, songs, stories and more. Each story time also features an age appropriate art activity. Active participation is encouraged from everybody as children enjoy these pre-reading activities designed to be the building blocks for strong readers and students. This free event is interactive and educational. For more information please call 970-479-2187. You may also visit us at vaillibrary.com.

We have invited Marie Torry of Patterns of Joy Life Skills Enrichment ~ Sewing Outreach to come teach us to sew! Our sewing project is to sew and fill Welcome Totes for children who are attending Round up River Ranch Family Camp. Each child will sew one tote to give and one to keep for themselves. We will then fill the totes with a journal, fun stuff & toiletries to make the child’s visit more enjoyable. Patterns of Joy has the mission of Kids Serving Kids, we love the idea behind it! This is a RSVP required program, limited space project. 970-479-2179 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
