  • Virtual Zumba Class

Category: Healthy Lifestyle Virtual Zumba Class

    September 21, 2020

Thanks to technology: We are able to offer Zumba virtually during our Stay At  Home! Email:  Sandy at SRivera@vailgov.com for an invitation to the Zoom meeting.

Zumba is perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba®class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on.  We'll be together in spirit but safe at home!

Maria-Sugeidy Rivera will be your guide  to this very exciting dance party atmosphere full of Latin and international music. You'll forget you're working out with the sexy but simple moves to dance music like Cha Cha, Salsa, reggaeton, rumba and more.

Best of all, you don't need any previous dance experience!

    September 22, 2020

Story Time is Back! We are excited to invite families back to our early literacy story time. Starting July 14  and running through August, we will host Tuesday Story Time in our back yard at 11am. Stories, songs and movement activities will entertain our youngest patrons - appropriate for ages 6 and under. We'll be meeting on the lawn behind the library.
Attendance at Back Yard Story Time does require some participant responsibility:

    • Please don't come if you and your family are not COVID-19 symptom free
    • Please observe 6 feet of distancing between your family and other patrons not in your household
    • Please wear a mask while you are at the library
    • We encourage you to bring your own seating. Camp chairs, blankets from home and carpet squares are welcome.
  • Girls Who Code

    September 24, 2020

Girls Who Code, a club at VPL for girls going into 3rd to 5th grades, will meet virtually the fourth Thursday of the month at 3:30pm. Mark and Lelia Conlon will be our club facilitators. This is a new club and all interested girls in this age group are encouraged to join us.

Girls Who Code is on a  mission to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does.

If you are interested, please reach out to Cricket Pylman at 970-479-2179 or cpylman@vailgov.com.
