Support Your Library

The Friends of Vail Public Library work to assist the Town Librarian in promoting and improving library services, materials and facilities; and, in seeking donations, gifts, and bequests….

Who We Are and What We Do

The Friends of Vail Public Library help host cultural speakers and programs at the library, work to enrich and enhance existing library services, assist with the annual 4th of July Book and Bake sales, and advocate for the library through public awareness.

Meetings

The Friends meet quarterly at 4:00pm in the library’s Community Room.

Role of the Friends

Friends work with the Town Librarian and other library staff in an advisory capacity. One member of the Friends shall volunteer for a year’s term as chairman to run the meetings with an agenda. Another member shall volunteer to keep minutes and distribute them to other Friends in a timely manner after each meeting. After a year, new volunteers from the group will be asked to fill these positions, if needed.
