Explore Denver history through local news, events and people with the Denver Post Collection. Search current and archived issues with full-color newspaper pages, full-text articles and content only published online. Also available remotely 24/7 on any device.


MasterFILE Premier

Contains full text for many periodicals including titles that cover general reference, business, health, education, science, and social issues. Contains access to Consumer Reports.


   New York Times

Get access to the New York Times courtesy of the Vail Public Library. Read the daily New York Times online. Enjoy access to articles, blogs, videos, podcasts, multimedia features and historical content dating back to 1851. Once you have created an account with New York Times, you may download and use the app and the TimeMachine in 72 hour intervals.

You will need to create a New York Times user account (unless you already have one) using either link below.

For unlimited access from within the library, click the At library link button and enter your NYT account user name and password.

For remote access, click the At home link button and log in with your library card number and password and then your NYT account user name and password for a 72 hour pass. When that pass expires, repeat the process for a new pass.

Newspaper Source

This database provides cover-to-cover full text for 35 national & international newspapers as well as selective full text for more than 375 regional (U.S.) newspapers. Television & radio news transcripts are also provided.

 


 

OverDrive  eMagazines

Download Overdrive emagazines using your Vail Public Library card.  You can check out an unlimited number of  eMagazines from Overdrive. All OverDrive content is available for viewing at https://marmot.overdrive.com or within the Libby app. Searches of the Vail Public Library online catalog will also return magazine titles that are available from Overdrive.

The OverDrive app is called Libby.

Wall Street Journal

Vail Public Library patrons with active library cards can create a Wall Street Journal account that is valid for periods of 10 days.  Log in with your library card number and password.

Once you log in with the requested credentials, you will be directed to the Wall Street Journal site for Vail Public Library, where you will set up WSJ.com login credentials, and then you can browse and read articles and full issues of the Wall Street Journal. You will have access from anywhere for the next 10 days. After 10 days, you can renew your access from the above link with the same login credentials for another 10 days, and repeat this process as often as you would like.


 

The Washington Post

Vail Public Library provides free access to The Washington Post. Enjoy expert reporting and analysis from Washington and around the world, including award-winning investigative coverage and editorial commentary. While you are on-site at the library, enjoy full access to The Washington Post’s
website, WashingtonPost.Com.

Need access while on the go? Free 7-day Washington Post subscription passes are also available.

Offsite Access: To access The Washington Post from outside of the library, follow this link. Unrestricted offsite access is available to readers for 7 days after registering with an email address and password.  On the eighth day, return to the offsite access link to trigger a new 7-day access period.
