Category: All Ages Buddy Mentors

May 18, 2016

Buddy Mentors, a youth mentoring program, will visit Vail Public Library. This event is open to anyone interested in learning more about the program. Buddy Mentors provides children facing adversity with strong, enduring and professionally supported one-to-one relationships with adult role models that brighten their future, forever.

The purpose of this event will be to get all “Junior Buddies” signed up for the library’s summer reading program and to learn about the unique opportunities that Vail Public Library offers to the community.  We will spend a portion of the evening in the Tech Studio, learning about the 3D printers and other programs and offerings at Vail Public Library.

“We are actively recruiting adult volunteers for our program,” stated Belle Hollandsworth, organizer for Buddy Mentors.  “This is a great opportunity to see our program in action and meet some of our

Junior and Senior Buddies. One of our goals with our Buddies this summer is to start career planning.  One of the best ways to ensure academic preparedness for future careers is to read. So, we are kicking off our summer events at the Vail Public Library.”

To R.S.V.P. for this event please contact Hollandsworth at belle@mybrightfuture.org or 970-763-7208.
