NAMI Teen Program

This program is for 12-18 year olds only. As part of the One Book One Valley Collaborative Read, Vail Public Library is hosting NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, for a discussion of suicide, anxiety and awareness. NAMI calls this session: Ending the Silence. Colorado,as a state, has the 7th highest suicide rate in the nation. In Colorado, the most suicides occur between the ages of 50-and-59 numbering 214. Most of the victims are men at 75 percent. The number of teen suicides increased from 59 in 2013 to 64 in 2014. Join the discussion and help end the silence regarding mental illness.
