"There are some books that refuse to be written. They stand their ground year after year and will not be persuaded. It isn't because the book is not there and worth being written -- it is only because the right form of the story does not present itself. There is only one right form for a story and if you fail to find that form the story will not tell itself."

—Mark Twain (1835-1910) [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] American author, humorist

The Hampstead Stage Company is proud to present “King Arthur” at the Vail Public Library. Celebrating 30 years of bringing books to life, the Hampstead Stage Company’s two professional actors will portray multiple characters with quick costume changes and dialects.

Join King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table in this legendary story of the sword and the stone! In our quest, Merlin and Arthur battle their adversaries, Morgana Le Fay and her son, Mordred, for the rights to Camelot and the sword Excalibur. The legend comes to life in this historic tale of medieval adventure! Through our play, we hope to encourage our audience to stand up for what is right and overcome their fears.
