The Town of Vail Public Library welcomes back local artist and author, Helen Hiebert, for two special personalized paper projects.

5:30 p.m. on July 23 join us for “Personalized Greeting Cards.” Create your own greeting cards by learning techniques from Helen's latest book "Playing with Pop-Ups." Your custom-made cards will be perfect for any occasion year round.

Then at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 will be creating "Brag Books." Learn how to cut windows in your envelopes and turn them into photo holders, and then learn a unique way to hinge the envelopes to create book pages. Whether it is your summer vacation photos or the newest addition to your family, Helen's mini-photo albums will be a memorable keepsake or gift.

Helen Hiebert is a nationally recognized papermaker and artist whose products have been featured in House and Garden, Country Living, Oregon Home, and  Architectural Records magazines. Hiebert is the author of many titles including “The Papermaker’s Companion,” “Papermaking with Plants,” and “Paper Illuminated.”

The cost for each workshop is $10 which includes materials and instruction. You may attend one, two or all three workshops but must R.S.V.P for each one. Space is limited so please R.S.V.P. to Liz Willhoff at 970-479-2190 or lwillhoff@vailgov.com.
