Want a fun and creative night out in the company of friends? The Vail Recreation District and the Vail Public Library are collaborating on a Cocktails and Canvas – Wine Bottle Painting class. Cocktails and Canvas classes are the perfect way to enjoy a social evening of painting that is totally stress free! An instructor will guide you through a step by step demonstration of the featured acrylic painting, and you will leave with your own unique masterpiece ready to display. Brushes, paints, and aprons are included; bring your own wine bottle with the label removed that is ready for painting.
Lauren Merrill from Alpine Arts Center says, “We’re excited to work with the Town of Vail Public Library and Vail Recreation District to put on this event for the community. Painting wine bottles is a twist on our popular Cocktails & Canvas class, and a great way to spend a social night out. Even if you’ve never painted before, the class is step by step so you can follow along, or feel free to bring in your own design and try something on your own. The best part of our Social Art Series classes is seeing the variety of work that gets created all in one evening, and it’s always a fun night out compared to the typical dinner and a movie or bar scene."
$15. Ages 18 and older are welcome. Wine and Beer available for purchase if 21 or older. Bring your own empty, label-removed wine bottle with cork. Don't have a bottle? Some will be provided. Price includes materials and artistic instruction, underwritten by the Town of Vail Public Library.
