Ask A Librarian
"I think a good novel would be where a bunch of men on a ship are looking for a whale. They look and look, but you know what? They never find him. And you know why they never find him? It doesn't say. The book leaves it up to you, the reader, to decide. Then, at the very end, there's a page you can lick and it tastes like Kool-Aid."

—Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts], Recurring Saturday Night Live comedy bit

Here is an opportunity to put together a team and build a scarecrow to decorate the Vail Public Library.  Vail Public Library will provide frames and art supplies. Vail Valley Cares Thrifty Store will provide clothes. Bring accessories to personalize your scarecrow.  Small parts, glue guns and staple guns will be used.  This creative day is not appropriate for children under four; all young children must be accompanied by an adult.  Teen teams may work without an adult if they have cleared this and have the the approval of library children's team team.
