"Generally speaking, men are influenced by books which clarify their own thought, which express their own notions well, or which suggest to them ideas which their minds are already predisposed to accept."

—Carl Lotus Becker (1873-1945) American historian

The Vail Public Library will be hosting a book talk and discussion with Isabel Suppe, author of "Starry Night." Join us for a profoundly inspirational presentation based on Suppe's book. It is a tale of survival, passion and overcoming adversity. In July 2010, Suppe was climbing an ice-face in the Bolivian Andes with Peter Wiesenekker. But then Peter slipped, causing both climbers to fall 11,000 ft. to the bottom of the face. Miraculously both of them survived the fall but were severely injured.
