Vail Public Library (VPL) is pleased to offer its patrons access to lynda.com’s library of instructional videos. Normally, using lynda.com requires a paid subscription, but as a VPL library cardholder you can access lynda.com content from any computer with an Internet connection simply by entering your 13-digit VPL library card barcode. Once you have logged into lynda.com with your library barcode, you must create a personalized lynda.com account by entering your name and e-mail address.

Please note that you can only access course content through the VPL’s website, and not by directly visiting the lynda.com homepage. Bookmark accordingly. Please also note that while the VPL’s lynda.com accounts are accessible through mobile devices, they are not accessible through lynda.com apps. Use your mobile device’s browser to connect to Lynda.com through the VPL website.

What is lynda.com? lynda.com is an online learning site that hosts a constantly growing library of over 3,000 courses that include over 130,000 videos. Courses cover a variety of topics (including business, design, web development and multimedia skills) and software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and open source applications) that can help you pursue personal and professional goals. These courses are delivered by expert instructors and feature searchable transcripts that make it easy to find quick answers to questions. They also feature Certificates of Completion that can be uploaded to a LinkedIn profile.

Also available for one-on-one appointments is 3D Design software help. Software programs available for one-on-one sessions are : CAD, Google SketchUp and Solid Works. Please note, CAD and Solid Works are paid software programs. These software programs will be available for training during your session only.

POLICIES

    • Please arrive on time and with a clear goal of what you would like to learn. You will be asked while setting up your appointment what you would like to learn.
    • Please arrive with all the necessary passwords needed to access your device or accounts.
    • Be sure to bring in any device you need help with. A PC will be available for basic computer questions.
    • We are unable to troubleshoot or fix broken devices, and we will not replace parts on your device.

También estan  disponible para ayuda uno-a-uno es en programas de diseño 3D. Los programas  disponibles para las sesiones uno-a-uno son: CAD, Google SketchUp y Solid Works. Tenga en cuenta que, CAD y Solid Works son programas con costo. Estos programas  estarán disponibles para el entrenamiento solamente durante su sesión.

  • Por favor de tener a mano todas las contraseñas necesarias para accede a sus dispositivos o cuantas.
  • Asegúrese de llevar cualquier dispositivo en el cual ocupe ayuda. Un computador estara disponible para preguntas básicas.
  • No somos capaces de solucionar o arreglar los dispositivos rosotos y no podemso reemplazar piezas de dispositivos.
